We seek a Jacksonville- or Atlanta-based Senior PR/Engagement Manager with the gift of gab prepared to leverage communications knowledge to help create transformative campaigns and educational materials for our private, public, and nonprofit customers.

Job Summary

As Senior PR/Engagement Manager, you’ll help us connect the dots between our clients and their audiences. With a focus on government, nonprofit, and public health sectors, you’ll help affect positive change in the world by developing and leading outreach and engagement strategies that span both traditional and emerging platforms. You’ll harness your uncanny understanding of PR strategy, superlative project management skills, peerless planning prowess, and exceptional written and oral communications capabilities to create and execute impactful campaigns with transformative messages.

  • Researching and assisting in the preparation of strategic marketing plans and event plans
  • Setting up and running PR/social media meetings between clients and agency staff
  • Assisting in the planning, execution and managing of special events and discovery sessions
  • Planning, writing and implementing organic and paid social media plans including messaging, strategies, outreach, integrations, events and content placement
  • Discerning insights and key data in case studies through high-level industry-specific research
  • Developing and implementing social/public relations plans to generate coverage of the agency and its customers
  • Working with account teams to establish KPIs and reporting metrics for each client/campaign
  • Approving monthly analytics reporting to inform modifications/ evolutions to social media strategy plans
  • Developing and implementing social media engagement briefs and content calendars
  • Solid understanding of best practices and current trends related to community management and fan/follower engagement strategies
  • Developing creative briefs and communicating with creative team regarding strategy
  • Regularly corresponding with clients via email and telephone
  • Carefully managing client expectations against results, troubleshooting and addressing issues before they become problems
  • Stay on top of industry best practices, client and competitor brand activity, and ensure that the agency delivers game-changing ideas and solutions
  • Create, author and sell in plans with senior client management
  • Hold and set a high bar for smart and sound ideas, flawless execution and outstanding, measurable results from all of your team members
  • Assume ownership and accountability for your individual and your team’s actions

  • Ability to effectively interface with internal departments, clients, partners and governmental agencies
  • Able to maintain a big-picture strategic view of your clients’ business, encompassing business goals, competitive issues, along with the breadth of ever-changing communication tools and techniques to tell your clients’ stories and achieve their goals

The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of related professional experience and a college degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field. Other qualifications include:

  • Experience in social marketing and an interest in public health, nonprofit and government agency-based marketing campaigns is ideal
  • Excellent research, writing and editing skills; oral presentation skills
  • A solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they affect the client
  • Mastery of digital, social and traditional media trends and best practices
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, eligible for government clearance
  • Mastery of MS Office
